We started our “lockdown” this week. It’s in quotation marks because it’s not that serious, practically speaking. Or it isn’t in villages and other rural locations because we have somewhere to get out to and to walk. Our garden is large enough to provide us with a different view of the world and to get some fresh air.
And that air is fresher than ever because of the reduced level of traffic, I reckon. In the mornings the smells of nature are more noticeable and the noise levels lower – so sleep is easier and longer. For city-dwellers, of course, the situation will be one of confinement, albeit with lower noise levels and pollution.
